I was looking at my presie list today and trying to come up with reflective ideas for my friends. My son thinks I should make them home-made gifts CDs and the like. It reminded me of tapes my brother used to make me when I was young (and he was a poor student) He used to make me mixed tapes and I love them so much I still treasure them all these years later. Better again they still play. So I have acquired some aloe vera plants and I am considering the mixed tapes. It often happens that those we care most about get left to the last minute as we try to come up with something special to give them.
One of my favourite presents received this year was a handmade necklace from an old friend. The idea that she took the time to make it and how thoughtful that is meant a considerable amount to me. I will always treasure it.

So do not concern yourself with the cost of your presents instead go the thoughtful route.Once you know a person’s personality than all you have to is to imagine them opening their present, what would they like to see? What would put a smile on their face?

And go to work on that.

  1. Thanks, Sheila. Nice to know you enjoyed those tapes so much!

  2. Was wondering if you would recognise yourself!!
